Serving as a popular Private Function venue since 1998, The Boma has recently been refurbished and specialises in African Safari Picnics and Functions. Equipped with undercover seating for up to 120 guests, a large dance floor and bar area, and a beautiful country garden, The Boma is an ideal venue for Private Celebrations, such as 21st, 30th and 40th birthdays, significant anniversaries and other momentous occasions.
VENUE HIRE
We do charge a venue hire fee for a minimum of 40 guests.
This amount entitles you to exclusive use of the venue, tables, chairs,
cutlery and crockery.
DÉCOR
Should you require décor, you are more than welcome to arrange décor for the venue or décor can be arranged at an extra cost.
BAR FACILITIES
We are a fully licensed venue and offer full cash bar facilities.
There is a cost for a Barman for the night and gratuity is at your discretion.
EXTRA COSTS
Bonfires - We do offer 2 X small
Bonfires for evening functions which add ambiance and atmosphere to any function.
Belly Dancers - Can confirm availability and price thereof depending on what you require.
Bongo Drummers
– The Boma is fortunate to have Bongo Drummers at their service. They
do not only drum themselves, but get the crowd involved too.
Waitrons – We usually suggest one waitron per 20 guests and the cost thereof is included in the price per person package. Please bare in mind that gratuity is not included for our waiters and waitresses. It is of course highly appreciated but we prefer to leave this up to your discretion.
Dance floor and music
– There is no charge for our dance floor as the venue fee is included
in the package prices. We do not have a DJ but do offer the use of our
5 disk CD player and prefer to suggest that you provide the music of
everyone’s choice. Should you require the services of a DJ, we will be
more than happy to acquire one obviously at extra cost.
Private Function Package:
Includes:
- Menu consisting of bar snacks (peanuts, crisps, biltong) on arrival, potjiekos (chicken, lamb or beef) with stampmielies or sticky basmati rice and a greek salad as a main course, and malva pudding with custard for dessert
- Waiters and bar staff
- Exclusive use of The Boma restaurant from 7pm until 12pm
- Tables, chairs, tablecloths and serviettes
- Crockery, cutlery and glassware
- A full sound system with CD changer

Minimum of 40 guests
This package is not available on Saturdays and Public Holidays
A deposit is required to secure your function booking. This deposit will be offset against your final invoice. This deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation within 3 months of the function date
Music will be turned down at 12pm, regardless of whether overtime use of the venue is required
Guests are permitted to bring their own champagne and wine, at a corkage fee
This package is available from 1 April – 30 September 2007
We also offer wine and / or champagne for the tables and charge per bottle.
